About WaterX 2025
UCPro India invites your institution to participate in a nationwide innovation campaign focused on developing an indigenous water surface cleaning system—not a filtration system, but a process to remove unwanted debris, pollutants, and floating waste from municipal water bodies.
The Challenge
Conceptualize, design, and develop a working prototype of a compact, indigenous water surface cleaning system, capable of efficiently clearing pollutants, floating debris, and waste from water bodies.
Who Can Apply?
- •Final-year or pre-final year engineering students in Mechanical, Civil, Mechatronics, or Environmental Engineering.
- •Students must form teams of up to 4 members.
- •Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged.
Evaluation Criteria
- •Efficiency in Cleanup – Speed & effectiveness in removing debris from water surfaces.
- •Energy Utilization – Optimized power use to reduce environmental footprint.
- •Scalability & Adaptability – Suitability for municipal water bodies & large-scale deployment.
Working Prototype
Submit a functional prototype of your water surface cleaning system.
Technical Brief
A max 3-page document outlining design, workflow, and efficiency.
Process Diagrams
CAD drawings showcasing technical feasibility.
Team Requirements
Form teams of up to 4 members from eligible engineering disciplines.
